Now i am about to release a steampunk novel. I am going to have the paperback printed digitally, however because I’m a chronic tinkerer, I would love to produce a very unique hardcover edition myself in my small basement workshop. I’ve watched a couple of encouraging instructional videos and had the chat with a pro that left me personally somewhat intimidated. Alas, I carry on. Because the story is a 19th one hundred year alt-history, I’d like the result of my attempts to be bold representation of that period of time, but I don’t want to leap in the deep end. I love the appearance of corded spins. I don’t believe I want to do real leather and also have nothing against faux. But at this time, I don’t have a clue regarding getting signatures printed and the simplest way to fold them or exactly what trimming will be necessary. One one hand, the stitching process seems like a lot of fun. But rounding and support? I don’t know about that. I’m therefore glad to find this sub and am look forward to any suggestions.
